Elizabeth S. Dana

As President and Chief Executive Officer of DANA Insurance Services, Elizabeth Dana oversees all aspects of a thriving insurance agency. Formed in 1996, her firm is comprised of a unique blend of benefit consultants, compliance specialists, insurance brokers and employee communication specialists. Beth, as she is known to her friends and colleagues, has worked in the Maryland health benefits industry for more than twenty-five years in positions ranging from account executive to corporate officer to entrepreneur.

DANA Insurance Services extends its sales and marketing efforts to include several areas of client service; membership enrollment, employee communication materials and insurance compliance consulting. Prior to creating her own firm, Beth was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Preferred Health Network. She also gained industry experience working several years with both Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Metropolitan Insurance.

Throughout these years, Beth developed a unique understanding of the needs of certain businesses and social service organizations in Maryland. In fact, much of the success of DANA Insurance Services stems from Beth’s active involvement with many civic and non-profit groups. Some of the well known names in this group include the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, The League for People with Disabilities, Planned Parenthood of Maryland, and First Step.

She has also been honored as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women with the Daily Record in 2000, 2002 and 2004. In addition, she received the Health Insurance Associate Designee in 1993 with the Health Insurance Association of America.
